Dealing With an Angry Public

The Consensus Building Institute offers a new approach to public relations and crisis management that builds on a proven approach outlined in the award-winning book, Dealing With an Angry Public, by Lawrence Susskind and Patrick Field. In a one or two-day course, participants learn ways of responding (1) after an accident has occurred or someone has been adversely affected, (2) when groups are opposed to something you propose to build or undertake because they view it has risky or harmful; or (3) to opposition rooted in fundamental value differences. Six key steps are explained systematically and in detail and participants are given hands-on opportunities to apply what they have learned using realistic simulations.
